St. Patrick's Best

Background
Strangford Lough Brewing Company is set in an area of natural beauty and wildlife with a historical tradition going back 8000 years. The company has a range of beers associated with County Down characters such Magnus Barelegs the Viking King buried in Downpatrick less than two miles from Saint Patrick, another of the company's brands.

St. Patrick set sail for Ireland in 432AD, landing initially at Inver Dee, Co Wicklow and then in Strangford Lough at the village of Raholp. He converted the local chieftian Dichu to Christianity, building his first church at Saul. Returning to Slemish, the scene of his captivity, he made Armagh the primacy of the Christian Church in Ireland.

Head Brewer's Tasting Notes
Light and refreshing on the palate our session best bitter has a classic Irish malt & hops aroma. Light amber in colour this smooth beer has hints of caramel & shamrocks.

Beer Advocate,

Pours with a medium amber body, foamy head sits a top, some retention.
Smell, grassy hints, earthy aromas, some hops present.
Tasts, dry and grassy, quite fresh tasting, malt presence in the background, slight hint of farmyard on the finish and towards to the end of the glass.
A pretty good little session beer.
